I connect with your position as a video director so much, that I decided to personally express why.
Not just because I love telling great stories, or because I have the leadership experience and all technical abilities you’re looking for, but because I saw and felt the hardships firsthand, of what it takes to run a local pizzeria.
For the past six years, pizza has played a surprisingly meaningful role in my life; personally, creatively, and professionally. It was 2019 when I met my wife at the Artichoke in Brooklyn. A few years later in 2022, I packed my things and got married in Switzerland. The language barrier was tough, so I ended up working full-time at a pizzeria called GUSTAV. That’s where I really learned what it takes to run a local business, from the behind-the-scenes hustle to the grit required to keep it going.
Three years later, I'm back in NYC, full of ambition, and ready to cook up something amazing with your team. I have a hunch that directing at SLICE is a natural next step in my pie of life.
I have 10+ years in the field, with the past several in senior and leadership roles, shaping stories from the ground up, whether it's branded content, doc-style pieces, or promotional campaigns.
I've been a director, editor, and shooter on so many different kinds of projects in New York over the past decade — I’ve worked on branded content for L’Oreal, Jeep, Harley Davidson, Tiffany's and many more. I've also directed large teams in New York and in Remote locations on the West Coast and even alongside an active Masaya volcano in Nicaragua, LIVE on ABC in front of millions.
Thank you for taking the time to watch. My journey started with a love story in a pizza place and hopefully it leads to a meaningful collaboration with SLICE.
